Helping Atlas Copco deliver targeted interventions

In Dholpur, LHWRF addresses critical water scarcity affecting 1,500 farmer families across 24 villages through comprehensive water resource development. The initiative renovates existing water harvesting structures, constructs new ones, and supports livestock development with cattle and goat rearing units. A landmark achievement is the establishment of the Mahakaleshwar Farmer Producer Organization, now serving 750 farmers and demonstrating the power of collective rural action.

In Pune, the Sustainable Livelihood Development Program reaches 1,580 families across 29 villages in Mulshi, Bhor, and Velhe blocks. LHWRF promotes agricultural diversification through horticulture and vegetable cultivation, installs water lifting devices and irrigation infrastructure, and supports dairy development with milch animals and milk collection centers. The program includes backyard poultry units, micro-enterprise support, farmers’ training, household biogas units to reduce firewood dependency, and livestock vaccination services creating resilient, multifaceted livelihoods.

In Nandurbar, LHWRF empowers 300 tribal families in Chichpada through integrated farming practices. By restoring water harvesting structures, renovating check dams, and implementing group well irrigation systems across 25 villages in Akkalkuwa block, families achieve substantial income increases through double cropping and poultry development, significantly reducing seasonal migration.
Through these coordinated initiatives, LHWRF creates sustainable, diversified income streams that address climate change challenges, improve agricultural yields, and foster economic stability across diverse rural landscapes.
