who we are

Enriching lives & empowering livelihoods since 1988

"True satisfaction give back, comes from selfless service to the needy.

Dr. Desh Bandhu Gupta

founder, Lupin Limited & LHWRF

For over three decades, the Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation (LHWRF) has worked alongside rural communities to address the foundations of wellbeing — health, income, and dignity. Founded in 1988 by Dr. Desh Bandhu Gupta as the CSR entity of Lupin Limited, the Foundation believes that lasting national progress begins when families are healthy, economically secure, and empowered to shape their own futures.

Vision

LHWRF integrates health solutions for immediate well-being and long-term disease reduction, while our livelihood program in Rajasthan and Maharashtra provides sustainable solutions, acknowledging the vital link between community health and economic empowerment.

mission

LHWRF envisions the symbiotic enhancement of health outcomes and livelihoods, recognising the pivotal role of health in fostering economic empowerment within vulnerable rural communities, thereby fortifying both individual well-being and the resilience of the healthcare system
