able: enhancing farmer incomes in alwar and dhule

ABLE: A flagship program that brings together multiple livelihood interventions under one income-focused framework.

LHWRF launched the Agriculture-Based Livelihood Empowerment (ABLE) in 2024 with the aim of enhancing average annual farmer income by at least 25% through climate-resilient, technology-enabled practices. It targets 20,000 small and marginal farmers across Alwar (Rajasthan) and Dhule (Maharashtra).

The program combines many of the Foundation’s focus areas and has specific income-oriented outcomes. These include agricultural productivity enhancement, technology adoption, livestock health management, market linkage strengthening via FPOs, soil health improvement and water use efficiency. The program places equal emphasis on capacity building and collective action so families can secure more stable, long-term economic growth.
